About the Teaching Project
The Teaching Project for this course is an open-ended research-driven creation that engages topics, concepts, and other elements within the scope of the course. One of my goals for this project is for you to have an opportunity to explore in greater depth a topic that interests you!

Assignment Specs: Minimum Requirements
- Minimum required sources per person: 1 reference/tertiary, 3 secondary, 3 primary sources.
- Secondary sources: at least 1 has to be an academic journal article. No books or monographs are allowed without getting DrS’s approval.
- Regardless of format, each project should convey a historical argument and informed interpretation of sources.
- Primary source analysis should go beyond describing the sources, and include analysis of the source's message, meaning, and historical context.
- Source analysis should align with project’s historical argument or main takeaway.
- Sources must be attributed throughout the project when information or ideas inform the presentation.
- A formatted (MLA or Chicago Style) bibliography for every source used in the project.

ASSESSMENT
Interpretive Projects will be assessed by both the project author(s) and Dr.S using the Teaching Project Rubric. Together, we’ll come to a holistic assessment of the project.
